Rosa Elia Quintanilla Ledezma, una madre querida, excelente abuela y devota esposa, falleció el 18 de diciembre de 2025 en el Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, en Edinburg, Texas, rodeada de su amada familia. Nacida el 13 de abril de 1948 en China, Nuevo León, México, Rosa vivió una vida plena de amor y amistad.

Le precedieron en la muerte su amado esposo, Gil Quintanilla De Ochoa y su nieto Leonardo. Hallamos consuelo al saber que hoy están reunidos en el cielo, descansando en la presencia de Dios y velando con amor por la familia que tanto quisieron.

Rosa crió una familia que incluye a su hijo, Eduardo (Irma) Quintanilla, y a sus hijas, Nereida (Marco Galindo), Nora (Eliud Alcala) y Rosa Elia (Sabino Sanchez). Se enorgullecía de ser una madre cariñosa, inculcándoles valores de amor y fe. Su legado continúa a través de sus 8 nietos y 2 bisnietos, quienes siempre fueron la luz de su vida.

En su vida diaria, Rosa tenía una personalidad humilde y un espíritu vibrante. Uno de sus pasatiempos era tejer manteles. Tenía un don especial para la cocina, deleitando a su familia con sus empanadas y gorditas de azúcar. Sus mañanas iniciaban leyendo la Biblia y estudiando la palabra de Dios. Cuidaba con esmero sus plantas, dedicándoles el mismo amor que a su familia.

Rosa también se esmeraba con su apariencia, siempre asegurándose de lucir lo mejor posible. Dedicaba tiempo cada día a su maquillaje y peinado, reflejando su naturaleza afectuosa y la alegría que encontraba al expresarse.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el domingo 21 de diciembre de 2025, de 1:00 P.M. a 10:00 P.M., con un servicio religioso a las 7:00 P.M. en la Iglesia Pentecostal Emmanuel, ubicada en 15915 Cantu Rd, Edinburg, TX. El velorio continuara el lunes 22 de diciembre, de 10:00 A.M. a 1:30 P.M. El servicio funebre dara inicio a la 1:30 P.M.-2:30 P.M, en la Iglesia Pentecostal Emmanuel el mismo lunes. Inmediatamente terminando se llevara acabo el sepelio en el cementerio a las 3:00 P.M. en Valley Memorial Gardens, 3605 N Taylor Rd, Mission, Texas.

Rosa Elia Quintanilla Ledezma, a cherished mother, grandmother, and devoted wife, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 13, 1948, in China, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Rosa lived a life filled with love.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gil Quintanilla De Ochoa, and her grandson Leonardo. We find comfort in knowing that today they are reunited in heaven, resting in the presence of God and lovingly watching over the family they cherished so deeply.


Rosa raised a family that included her son, Eduardo (Irma) Quintanilla, and her daughters, Nereida (Marco Galindo), Nora (Eliud Alcala), and Rosa Elia (Sabino Sanchez). She takes great pride in being a nurturing mother to them, instilling in them values of love and faith. Her legacy continues through her 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who were always the light of her life.

In her daily life, Rosa had a vibrant personality and a resilient spirit. One of her hobbies was crocheting. She had a special touch when it came to cooking, often delighting her family with her homemade empanadas and gorditas de azucar. Her mornings started by reading the Bible and studying the word of our Lord. She cherished her plants, tending to them with the same love she offered her family.

Rosa also took pride in her appearance, always ensuring that she looked her best. She dedicated time each day to her makeup and hair, reflecting her affectionate nature and the joy she found in expressing herself.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with a 7:00 PM sermon at Iglesia Pentecostal Emmanuel, located at 15915 Cantu Rd, Edinburg, TX. A continuation of the visitation will occur on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, a funeral service will be held from 1:30 PM - 2:30 P.M the same day, at Iglesia Pentecostal Emmanuel. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3605 N Taylor Rd, Mission, Texas.
