Con profundo respeto anunciamos el fallecimiento de Pablo Rivas, quien partió de este mundo el 22 de agosto de 2026, a la edad de 76 años.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Maria Del Rosario Rivas, con quien compartió una vida de compañerismo y amor a lo largo de muchos años. Pablo deja también a su hijo, Pablo Rivas Jr., y a su hermana, Maria C. Rodriguez.

Le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Pablo Rivas; su madre, Consejo Santos Hernandez; y su hermana, Maria Emma Rivas Martinez.

En estos momentos de pérdida, la familia encuentra consuelo al celebrar una vida plena. Pablo fue un hombre trabajador que valoraba las cosas sencillas de la vida. Aunque solía ser reservado, encontraba gran alegría en aquello y en aquellos que más amaba. Era un aficionado a los deportes de Houston y disfrutaba especialmente apoyando a los Houston Texans y a los Houston Astros. Por encima de todo, Pablo atesoraba el tiempo que pasaba con su esposa; amaba su compañía, su personalidad única y los momentos especiales que compartieron juntos.

La velacion se llevará a cabo el jueves 27 de agosto de 2026, de 4:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m., en Grace Funeral Home, ubicado en 4910 Willowbend Blvd, Suite E, Houston, TX 77035. El servicio funerario está programado para el viernes 28 de agosto de 2026, de 9:00 a. m. a 10:00 a. m., también en Grace Funeral Home. Posteriormente, se realizará el sepelio en el cementerio Rising Star (400 Albert St, La Marque, TX 77568), de 11:00 a. m. a 12:00 del mediodía.

Mientras sus seres queridos lamentan su partida, también honran su memoria. Él permanecerá vivo en los corazones de su familia. Que Pablo Rivas descanse en paz.

It is with profound respect and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Pablo Rivas, who departed this life on August 22, 2026, at the age of 76.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Del Rosario Rivas, whose partnership and love spanned many cherished years. Pablo’s also leaves behind, his son, Pablo Rivas, Jr., and his sister, Maria C. Rodriguez.

Pablo preceded in death by his father, Pablo Rivas, his mother, Consejo Santos Hernandez, and his sister, Maria Emma Rivas Martinez.

In this time of loss, the family finds comfort in celebrating a life well-lived. Pablo was a hard-working man who valued the simple things in life. Although he often kept to himself, he found great joy in the things and people he loved the most. He was a devoted Houston sports fan and especially enjoyed cheering on the Houston Texans and the Houston Astros. Above all, Pablo treasured the time he spent with his wife. He loved her companionship, her unique personality, an the special moments they shared together.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Grace Funeral Home, located at 4910 Willowbend Blvd, Suite E, Houston, TX 77035. The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and concluding at 10:00 a.m., also at Grace Funeral Home. Interment will follow with a burial at Rising Star Cemetery, 400 Albert St, La Marque, TX 77568, from 11:00 a.m. to noon.

Serving as pallbearers are Pablo Rivas, Jr., Arturo Perez, Javier Perez, Ramon Macias, Adrian Andaya, Jr. and  Jose Contreras.

As those who loved Pablo mourn his passing, they also honor his memory. He will live on in the hearts of his family. May Pablo Rivas rest in peace.
