Izehiuwa Benedicta Ogiamien, born on July 1, 1978, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, passed away peacefully at her residence in Houston, Texas, on January 22, 2026. She was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose love for her family and community left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Benedicta attended Idia College (secondary education) and furthered her studies at Auchi Polytechnic in Edo States. She was dedicated to education and lifelong learning, exemplifying the importance of knowledge and personal growth. Above all, her commitment to family was unwavering. As a loving mother, she found joy in raising her children: Eseosa Isibor, Efeomo, and Iyobosa. Her familial bonds were the foundation of her life, reflecting her caring and nurturing nature.
A devoted member of Pace Setters Ministries, Benedicta was actively involved in church activities. She was a valued member of the choir and took great pride in volunteering whenever the need arose. Her deep faith guided her actions and resonated with those in her community, leaving a legacy of kindness and service.
Benedicta is survived by her beloved children, Eseosa, Efeomo, and Iyobosa. She leaves behind her father, Fidelis Ogiamien, and her mother, Abiodun Mary Ogiamien. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her siblings, including her sister Emily, her brothers Osemwegie and Osaigbovo, and her cherished girl Osamede.
Her funeral services will be held at Pace Setters Ministries in Stafford, Texas, beginning on February 13, 2026, with a viewing at Grace Funeral Home in Houston on February 14, followed by the funeral service the same day. Benedicta will be laid to rest at Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland, Texas.
