DeAnthony Jeremiah Glenn, affectionately known as DJ, was born on July 10, 2011, in Houston, Texas. He touched the hearts of many with his radiant smile and uplifting spirit, leaving a profound impact that will resonate long after his untimely passing on February 8, 2026. At just 14 years, DJ was already blossoming into a remarkable young man, characterized by his kindness, ambition, and love for his family.
DJ excelled in academics and was not only a great football player but also a model of teamwork and brotherhood. His connection with his teammates was profound; together they forged memories that would last a lifetime. Beyond his studies and sports, he had a passion for culinary arts, demonstrating a flair for creativity and an eagerness to learn. He proudly achieved his food safety license at just 14, showcasing hard work and a desire to begin his career early at the age of 15.
DJ cherished his time with his siblings-DeShawn, Alyssa, Deyon, DeArie, Dinym, A'Niyah, Damien, and Dee-always striving to be a role model for them. He was deeply committed to setting a positive example, embodying the essence of a loving brother while learning the responsibilities that came with it. His playful spirit shone brightly as he enjoyed playing Roblox with his brother, and he always took on the role of "mom's personal bodyguard," ensuring the safe arrival of his family home.
DJ's personality was a beacon of light for those around him. He was known for his ability to uplift others, displaying a maturity beyond his years while developing into a well-rounded individual. His journey was just beginning, and the world has lost a young soul full of potential, dreams, and love.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Tracy Reddic and Damien Glenn, who fostered his passions and cherished every moment with him, along with his loving siblings. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Callis Reddic, his paternal grandmother, Bridgett Glenn, his paternal grandfather, Emerson Ford, and his God Granny, Arvis Milburn. Each of these relatives held a special place in his life, contributing to the rich tapestry of his upbringing.
As the community gathers to honor DJ's vibrant spirit, visitation will take place on February 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Fountain of Praise in Houston, Texas, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
DJ's life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and accomplishments that have inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will forever be remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of his family and friends, a legacy that will continue to inspire others.
