Christopher Mendez

Christopher Mendez left this world for his heavenly home on December 17, 2025, at the age of 47. He graduated from San Marcos High School in May, 1996.

Chris loved his pit bull Sassy, she was his pride and joy.

Chris was an avid Chicago Bulls fan. He loved watching sports just like his grandparents, Raymond and Belia Mendez. Drawing was a natural gift, one which he practiced in his spare time. His artistic talent was showcased at the Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin, Texas during high school. Chris began bowling at a young age at a neighborhood bowling alley. He bowled frequently and played in bowling leagues with numerous friends and family.

He is survived by his mother Irma Mendez; a brother Thomas Garcia (Marisol); nephew Abraxas; niece Serina Eloisa Garcia; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.

Christopher is preceded in death by his sister Josephine Mendez and his maternal grandmother Belia Mendez, who he referred to as “Mom”.

A gathering to celebrate Chris' life will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 10th, 2026, at Grace Funeral Home, 4910 Willowbend Blvd, Ste E, Houston, Texas.
