Abel Aguilar

Abel Aguilar, a beloved husband, father, and son, passed away on July 14, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 28, 1980, in Weslaco, Texas. Abel lived a life filled with love for his family, a passion for music, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Abel was proud to celebrate 25 years of marriage to his devoted wife, Maria Isabel Aguilar. Together, they built a warm and loving home for their children, Abel (Nahary Morales) Aguilar, Jr., Celina Aguilar, and Jazmin Aguilar. He took great joy in spending time with his family, finding pleasure in every moment shared with his children and adored grandson, Junior Aguilar.

Abel is survived by his father, Arnulfo Aguilar, and his siblings, Jessica Aguilar and Arnulfo Aguilar, Jr. He is also preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sylvia Gonzales De Aguilar, and his late uncle, Abel (Kaliman) Aguilar.

A visitation to honor Abel's life will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Eternal Light Funeral Home, located at 201 Broadway St, Elsa, Texas, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a 7 PM prayer service. A chapel service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 12 noon at Eternal Light Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Sacred Park Cemetery 12506 N Mile 2, Mercedes,TX. 

Abel's legacy will continue through the love he had for his family and the memories they created together. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
